A Stunning Mono Stringer Staircase Project in Southampton
In Southampton, we had the chance to work on a staircase project that was all about combining style and a bit of fun tech. A client approached us for an open riser staircase, and we suggested one of our mono stringer designs. They wanted to match their golden oak treads with the timber used on the upper floors, so we went for a natural oak finish.
Now, the fun part: they didn’t just want ordinary lighting. They asked for RGBW LEDs, which means they could pick any color in the spectrum and even switch to a warm white if they wanted. As you can imagine, it created a really cool glow on the treads and the floor below. The client loved setting it to a nice blue shade, but they could change it up anytime using Alexa, Google Home, or a remote control.
We finished it off with brushed stainless steel handrails and clear glass that wrapped around the landings, giving it a really clean and modern look. In the end, it was a fantastic feature staircase that the client absolutely loved.
