Mono Stringer Staircase in Surrey for House of Build
We were contracted by the renowned main contractor, House of Build to deliver a stunning feature staircase project in Surrey. Our full-service approach included the survey, design, detailed drawing, 3D rendering, manufacturing, delivery, and installation of this bespoke staircase.
The centrepiece of the project is a mono stringer staircase, featuring a central spine that supports bleached white oak treads and frameless glass balustrades. One particularly striking design element is the 15mm toughened glass balustrade that extends continuously from the ground floor up to form part of the first-floor balustrade, creating a seamless and elegant visual line.
To meet the client’s desire for a unique handrail solution, we designed through-glass brackets that bolt through the glass panels and support brushed stainless steel handrails on both sides of the staircase. This provided a modern and sophisticated touch.
The staircase is equipped with warm white LED lighting, activated by sensors at the top and bottom, allowing for automated control and adding a layer of smart home convenience. Additionally, we incorporated end caps to conceal the fixings where the glass attaches to the staircase, ensuring a minimalist, clean aesthetic.
This entire project, located in Surrey, showcases our commitment to blending innovative design with high-quality craftsmanship. By tailoring every detail to the client’s vision, we delivered a staircase that is not only functional but also a striking architectural feature in their home.
