Bespoke mono stringer staircase in Peacehaven, East Sussex

Here is one of our beautiful mono-stringer staircases installed for a client in Peacehaven. The clients brief is that they wanted a modern and contemporary staircase that still complied with building regulations. To do this, we had to include riser bars on the staircase which were fabricated out of brushed finish stainless steel. We made these riser bars removable should the client wish to rewax/stain the oak treads in future.

The glass used on this project is 15mm toughened glass with our luxury brushed finish stainless steel handrail. This is a very unique design in that the mono stringer splits into two separate directions. We decided to keep the handrail continuous on both sides of the landing.

The Oak treads installed were of stave construction (solid oak) and lightly oiled, stained and waxed.

The client also wanted a matching color to the stringer which we matched to the Dulux painted code used elsewhere in the house.
