Mono Stringer Staircase Installation in Guildford
In Guildford, we had the pleasure of creating a truly special mono stringer staircase for a private client’s new build. This wasn’t just any staircase; it was designed to perfectly complement the oak frame construction of the home, seamlessly tying in with the property’s oak beams, columns, and other oak features.
Our client wanted a staircase that felt light and open, so we proposed a mono stringer, or central spine, staircase with open risers and a graceful sidewinder turn. We paired this with 17.5mm toughened and laminated frameless glass balustrades to keep things sleek and modern.
But we didn’t stop there. To bring a touch of smart home convenience, we integrated warm white LED lighting controlled by Google and Alexa. All the wiring was cleverly hidden inside the spine of the staircase, keeping the look clean and uncluttered.
We matched the oak finish of the staircase to the existing wood tones in the home, and we used oak end caps to hide any fixings, ensuring the staircase had a smooth, uninterrupted look. The client was delighted not just with the final result, but also with the 3D renders we provided beforehand, allowing them to visualise everything before we even started.
In the end, this mono stringer staircase installation in Guildford became a true centrepiece of the home, blending oak charm with modern innovation. If you’re in Guildford and dreaming of a custom staircase, we’d love to help you bring it to life.
