Black Oak Floating/Cantilever Staircase in Chigwell

In Chigwell, we got to bring a pretty cool staircase project to life. A client, who came to us through a local referral, asked for a floating staircase that would fit right into their black-and-white themed home.

They wanted something with a bit of a wow factor, so we designed a black oak floating staircase with 15mm toughened glass. They loved the idea of having the glass completely frameless and the fixings hidden, so we added black end caps to keep it all looking clean and streamlined.

They also wanted a slim, square black handrail instead of just using the glass edge, which we were happy to include. We installed this staircase as a cantilevered floating piece going from the ground floor to the first floor, and then another mono stringer staircase from the first to the second floor. The whole design tied in nicely with the home’s black accents on the doors and floors, and those crisp white walls.

In the end, the client was over the moon. They got exactly the look they were after, and we were thrilled to help them make it happen. So, if you’re in Chigwell and thinking about a floating staircase, you know who to call!
